Registration Selection(s)

2025 Fall Competitive (U8, U6, U5)

In House Recreational Soccer at Sheldon Field.

This program sets teams in the U8, U6, and U5 divisions. Each team will have a dedicated coach (volunteers are welcome!).

Each player MUST bring:
-Water bottle with an appropriate hydrating drink (not soda). It can get very hot, and the players need water.
-Appropriately fitting shin guards.
-Soccer cleats.
**If you would like to see if we have a size cleat that fits your player, we receive soccer cleat donations and may be able to assist!**

Each player will be assigned to a specific team for small-sided, competitive play.

U8 and U6 have 1 practice per week near the end of August. The uniform is included with registration.

There is a late fee for participants who register after July 30th of $25.

After August10th, or when teams are full, each participant may be placed on a wait list.

2025 Fall Competitive Soccer

U15 Division Birth Years: 2013, 2012, and 2011 if in 8th grade.
U12 Division Birth Years: 2015 and 2014
U10 Division Birth Years: 2017 and 2016

**SIGN UP EARLY, BEFORE JULY 1ST, TO RECEIVE AN EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT**
Signing up prior to July 1st will save $25 off registation - paying $110.00 vice $135.

Each player MUST bring:
-Water bottle with an appropriate hydrating drink (not soda). It can get very hot, and the players need water.
-Appropriately fitting shin guards.
-Dedicated soccer cleats (Football, Baseball, and Lacrosse cleats are NOT permitted).
-The correct size soccer ball for your age group:
U15 = size 5 soccer ball
U12 = size 4 soccer ball
U10 = size 4 soccer ball

-Typically 2 practices per week, beginning in August
-8 games total (4 home, 4 away)
-Parents are responsible for uniform ordering, and the jersey may be used for multiple seasons.
-All players are required to upload a photo, and proof of age via birth certificate when registering.
-Registrations after July 31st (starting on August 1st) will incur a $25 late fee.
-Once teams are fully rostered, there may not be room for more players. Please register soon.

-All players are required by Connecticut Junior Soccer Association to upload a clear photo (no hats, sunglasses, masks, etc.) and proof of age via birth certificate when registering.

-For international birth certificates, there are additional requirements from US Youth Soccer (https://www.cjsa.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1400429).
IF THE PLAYER PHOTO AND VALID BIRTH CERTIFICATE ARE NOT UPLOADED, THE PLAYER IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIPATION

Please abide by the following SECJSA District rules when loading a birth certificate and head photos.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES - DO'S

  • The birth certificate should be centered and clear with all text legible.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES - DON'TS

  • Uploaded certificate should not be blurry
  • Should not be over exposed or washed out making it hard to read
  • The document should be centered so that all vital information is in frame and viewable.
  •   

HEAD SHOT - DO'S

  • The photo should be clear, centered and a front portrait view of your face.
  • Please, make certain your eyes are open.

HEAD SHOT - DON'TS

  • Minimize the shadows by taking the photo with light in front of you, not behind you.
  • Your face should fill most of the frame.
  • Sunglasses and hats will not be accepted.
  • Please, no funny faces :)
